Leaked Info: Modern Warfare 3

First details of Activision's next blockbuster. The next Call of Duty game will be called Modern Warfare 3 and jointly developed by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. The release date will be November 8, 2011.

The single-player story will start directly after the events of Modern Warfare 2. The villain Vladimir Makarov and heroes "Soap" MacTavish and John Price return in 15 stages set across the world, including New York City, Dubai and Paris.

The Spec Ops co-operative mode from Modern Warfare 2 will return, as well as survival maps that sound similar to Gears of War's horde mode or Call of Duty: World at War's zombie mode. The competitive multiplayer mode will feature around 20 maps.

I'm glad to see that Spec Ops will be back. And now there will also be survival maps? That will add another thing to keep everyone addicted to the serious. Besides from the multiplayer and Spec Ops, I'm very intrigued with what the survival maps will consist of exactly. If they do it right, it could be the one of the biggest selling points of the game, no doubt about that. Kinda like an arena type thing. I don't know about you guys, but this gets me pretty excited.

Spec Ops are fun too. As I mentioned earlier in a post, I went back and did some of the old Spec Ops missions. Still very fun, and tough on Veteran. Hoping that maybe we can get more missions.

Now for the Multiplayer online. There are a couple things that I want to hit on, whether it be they take something out, or put something in.

For one,  I hope they get rid of Last Stand. When you get shot and are suppose to be at 0 hp, you should be dead. Not at 1 hp on the "brink" of death, pulling out your pistol, and being invincible on the way to the ground. Total bs. Also, you shouldn't be able to knife while you are down. And another thing, what bugs me the most, is it seems like when you are falling, you can get a few extra shots off sometimes with your main weapon. That is very, VERY annoying.

Another thing I hope they implement, is when you shoot a weapon, you shouldn't come up on the radar. The only way you should show up I think, is if they have a UAV online. Why would I show in the first place when shooting a weapon? I don't think you should, but that's my personal thought. Silencers will still have their effect so people don't know where you are getting shot from. Helps keep quiet, ya know?

I want the whole money system outta the game. I want challenges to award you things, such as emblems and backgrounds, and weapon attachments! Just like in Modern Warfare 2. Black ops didn't have anything like that, and it was fun to have stuff unlock-able like that. Gives you more things to get done. And it doesn't let you have access to all the attachments possible right off the bat. I think that was kinda a bad thing to do. As soon as you can make a class, you could have any equipment and attachments you wanted, if you have the money.

Now there are pros and cons about something else that I would like to bring up. Stacking kill streaks, or not stacking kill streaks. Also, would you want the nuke back? There is a lot of debate over whether people would want it back or not. What do you think? Personally, I think it would be fun to have it back. Except that it could possibly lead to camping. Which would be a bad thing for sure. What kind of kill streaks would you want in the game? Would you want to get rid of the Spy Plane altogether because you think it's cheap? Or maybe just have kill streaks that are controlled by AI, and not yourself? Give me your thoughts on that one.

One more thing that I would to add here really quick. I WANT DEDICATED SERVERS. That is a must must. A lot of other FPS's have dedicated servers. And with the most popular and lucrative franchise of them all, I'm sure they can afford it. That would settle the problem with everything that we like to call lag. And maybe even the solution for the hit detection. Please for the love of god!

Well kids, that'll be all for today. Til next time.
